This project involves developing an easily portable application with an innovative user interface, that can be run on a tablet or mobile device, which captures students data such as name, male/female, University of study, degree course, year of graduation and technical interests. This information can then be used as a tool to inform students when intern and graduate positions become available. The application should also enable companies to push data to students at relevant times, i.e. when the graduate/intern recruitment process opens, and provide the means to match graduates to the areas of the business to which they are most suited. E.g. the application could include a means of identifying which jobs would best match a student's skills - this could take the form of an online test where the overall score is used as a basis to match candidates to jobs, a keyword matching system that uses information about the student to determine what type of jobs would be most suitable, or the inclusion of suitable psychometric tests.
